Dimmer2 off - Very slow

kariem112

Question

I have the following problem:

When setting parameter 5/6 and 7/8 so that a light can be dimmed slowly instead of really fast, the dimmer also turns off very slowly. Is there any solution for that? There is no physical switch connected to it, only a battery powered wall switch.

When powering the dimmer down in interface, slow. When using association, also slow. There does not seem to be any way to turn off the dimmer quickly, while maintaining the slow dimming option....

i think dimming and turning off is basicly the same.

turning off is dimming to 0

i cant see how you could change that behaviour

I agree with user "kooy". But 4.080 introduced new functions, maybe you can use those and set back the parameters to their defaults?

The explanation of the API changes is in the 4.080 firmware changelog.

    Example to dim slowly:

You know what? I'll copy/paste the explanation from that topic!

"- New actions in Lua scenes:

        - fibaro:call(ID, 'startLevelIncrease', x, y)
        - fibaro:call(ID, 'startLevelDecrease', x, y)
        - fibaro:call(ID, 'stopLevelChange')

These calls can be used to start increasing or decreasing Multilevel Switches (like Dimmer 2, RGBW or Roller Shutter 2 modules) value. 'x' and 'y' are optional parameters, used to set respectively time frame in which change should be applied and starting level. 'stopLevelChange' stops previously send action."
