Number of instances issue

Because a scene started when the previous instance was still running. This usually occurs if your scene contains some sleep() and a trigger happens during the execution of the scene. I've tried to explain the concept to other people before and I can't seem to find the "magic words" to make it clear. If you're on a HC2 and you're willing to post your scene code, I can try to explain it for that particular scene. Maybe that works...

I see.. so say if i have a scene that is constantly looking out for movement to trigger and another scene that looks out for ambient lighting to trigger the same device, then if one triggers then it will report this instancing? Also, it seems like it will also give instancing issues if a scene is monitoring and i manually trigger one of the device it monitors.

For HCL which does not have LUA scene, I break complex lighting scenes into multiple small scenes and using parameters in devices (e.g. Fibaro motion sensor) to achieve.

Sample of Motion and Lux based Light Scenes with different 'Switch On for x minutes' for different time of the day:

Note: These scenes are set to max. running instances of 2 or 3. Works well so far for months since 4.072 beta.
