Question

Posted

Hi,

Does anybody know if it is possible to run a scene to and extract a 'result from there scene via the API

An example might be to check which sensors are triggered or zones are open/closed and just return open ones.

I'm pretty sure I could run the scene and update a global variable and then just use the API to read the value of the global variable but I was wondering if there was a way to do it with just the scene

Thanks

-F

I am sure I ain't knowledgeable enough to be certain in answering. Based on what I know, variables are localized within the scene, not beyond which is why the inclusion of global variables (after early betas of v4.x) and many scripts/scenes shared in this forum use the gbl var approach.

I could be totally wrong though.
