Multireg/ Heatit fault after update 4.092 beta ?

RobertL

Question

It appears that there maybe is problems with temperature feedback from Multireg / Heatit thermostats after updating to 4092 (from 4091). Can Fibero please check / test this?
It seems that the value from temperature sensor is wrong after the update.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Answer from Heatit:

We dont have an official changelog

But in 1,6 we fixed a bug with the display. It could show a upside down F in the display

1,7 and 1,8 are pretty much the same

Basically we changed what is displayed in display when using room sensor (A)

In version 1.5 the display shows the temperature of the internal sensor (I don't connect external or floor sensor).

this temperature is not correct due to the heat generated by the thermostat.

In version 1.8 the display shows the set point temperature.

In both version of the Heatit firmware, the temperature I can see in my HomeCenter2 referred to the room is wrong.

I want to upgrade all my heatit to the last version, then understand and solve the wrong temperature shown in HC2

I things tjis mat be difficult. I just recieved confirmation from HeatIT that they recommend not using the internal temp sensor. In fact, they may have disabled it in firmware ?

Anyway the issue seems more complicated than just assigning a simple offset value, and this I think makes it impossible for the controller to do something about. You need an external sensor.
