Life360 API

fi-bar-oh

Question

I see a few other home automation systems using the api for Life360 and was extremely surprised to see that no fibaro user has cobbled up a solution. Especially as the fibaro gps is so battery hungry!

Would anybody be interested if we started a combined effort to bring a solution for Life360 to fibaro?

  • i do that already using a temp user with only the selected scenes required due to cleartext authentication... but you still rely on ifttt and sometimes the delays are bad!

I agree that the Fibaro app is very battery hungry.  I also found it terribly unreliable. So I went in search of my own solution which I have completed and have been using for more than a year without issues.

It works both for Find Friends on iPhone and Life360 for both iPhone and Android phones.  Here's a link to the complete solution for Life360

Let me know how you get on.

Yes I use a similar process, however, it only works for the registered person on Life360, how do you get it to work for the whole family, we are 4?

I think you need to have separate Life360 accounts to do this.
