Anybody use Demopad (centro) custom UI ?

Hi,

I'm still searching for a platform to create a custom UI to bring together the separate parts of my system.

I came across this company and a new low cost product called the Centro-8M (GBP £149 + carriage)

 

It looks very good but I was wondering is anybody had experience with either demopad of their new 8M controller

Hi, 

 

I watched couple videos on YT about Demopad and this software is similary to Openremote. http://openremote.org/

I use openremote on old iphone touch - it's great and software is free to use.

Thanks - I've been working with openremote for a while now but haven't been able to get the professional look and feel 

OR is fab but it's a pity that it doesn't come with better graphics and my art creation skill is terrible...

I have only Home Screen with background image and icons as shortcuts.

Maybe try to find nice interface (background) and just edit icons in openremote - if you are doing it only for your own purposes (not for sale)

You can download the DemoDesigner GUI software  (requires Microsoft Windows XP or later) and couple graphics and templates from them.
Then you can edit buttons in UI and add "Flag" to each one with an action of type ‘Send data to a website - in text field below - "Web Data text" 
area enter the web address of the HC2, and parameters (http get request)
  
ON / OFF (ex: Wall Plug , micro-modules FGS211 , FGS221 , etc.)
http://<LOGIN>:<PASS>@<IP>/api/callAction?deviceID=<ID>&name=turnOn
http://<LOGIN>:<PASS>@<IP>/api/callAction?deviceID=<ID>&name=turnOff

virtual modules

Scenes

After edit part save project as  .pad file and use F5 to send it to the iPad / iPhone DemoPad CentroControl app - for free.

UI looks much better then the one I made myself in Openremote. For now I do not know how to get feedback from HC2 in Demopad

I have been working on my first Demopad project UI for Fibaro and it seems to be coming along nicely.

I stumbled across Demopad, and thought I'd check out if there are any Fibaro superstars out there, and here I find you.  I stumbled across because in my new house I'll be using a Blustream HDMI matrix, again (shouldn't have sold my current house as a smart house and kept my stuff, grr!), and it seems to work well with the Centro/Demopad stuff so I can finally, hopefully, maybe, have a single app to control the lot, maybe.... I've always hated the Fibaro UI on both the web and mobile app; very dated.

 

Just wondered if anybody's had any further experience since the last post around 18 months ago?  I presume the app gets full 2-way interaction/feedback?

Can you tell me more ? what are the costs ? is it complicated to set up ? how easy is the integration with fibaro and other systems ?
