Hi.

I backed a kickstarter project last year and the first one arrived yesterday

It's called an omega2 and a very small form factor linux pc with built-in wifi. It's similar concept to raspberry pi but about 20% it size and cost 5$

Should be useful for hosting ha bridges or other IoT type projects.

The coin in the picture is a 20c euro

Looking forward to getting it up and running

Nice little bugger! :) Did you get your omega2? I can see that on Kickstarter latest delivery was November 2016 and on Indiegogo December 2016, and estimated delivery calculator is out of order on their site.

I backed several times on Kickstarter like Pebble watch first edition and iStick. Both were late with deliveries, but arrived at the end. Pebbles are still working even are the early ones. iStick never realized promises. Application was never done as promised, and memory stick was too slow to be used as external memory for iPad from which you can watch video directly as promised. So now, I'm very selective to what project I will give funding (money) ;)

yep, been there as well - "once bitten twice shy"

All of my bets are less than €50 and I only have one in play at once.

This one looked interesting and it arrived yesterday - haven't tried it out yet.

it'll probably run my sonos api or a ha bridge if fibaro don't come up with the plugin ...but I have another idea in mind.

May of us have been thinking about using our phones to determine if we arrive home or leaving to switch house modes. I was thinking about installing one of these in each of our cars and seeing if i could achieve the same result. It's got built in wifi,is very small and v low power and best of all it doesn't go to sleep :-)
