Smoke Sensor - Installing

Sjekke

Question

I've bought several Smoke Sensors and want to install them in my house. But before installing I have 2 questions:

  1. Is it allowed to install the sensor on a slanting wall (45° > ex. attic) or vertically?
  2. Is correct that should drill holes yourself in the back of the sensor? What about warranty?

Cheers

Sjekke

Hi @Sjekke,

1) I installed one in kitchen vertically and it was triggered with smoke (my wife tested it with burned toast :))

2) back cover can be used to fix it with screws. But I used Velcro tape for that because it is easier to remove it for battery change or testing.

cheers
