Help Wiring Window Actuator and Fibaro Roller Shutter 2

Hi Folks,

 

Would appreciate some advice on wiring my Topp ACK4 window actuator to the Fibaro roller shutter module. The actuator has a grey, brown and black wire (as per the wiring diagram) but I'm getting confused as to how I need to wire this into the module and then on to the Brown and Blue of the wired plug end. Can anyone advise me? Please note I'm not wiring a manual switch into this so I don't need the s1 and S2 wiring (or do I? )

Anyone able to help? The actuator is effectively just like a roller blind or shutter.

Your ACK4 drawing asks for both phase and neutral to be switched in both up and down  position but the fibaro module will only switch the phase wires for this.

If you wanted to be true to the ACK4 instructions you would have to use another two relays to acheive this.

Hi Jamie,

 

Many thanks for helping out. I took it really slow and managed to get this working perfectly. I've posted a picture of the final wiring here because it might help others.

 

This does appear to work perfectly either via z-wave or manually using the roller shutter control switch (but I wonder if I do need to switch both as you suggest?)

 

I'd highly recommend this setup for anyone wanting to control their windows automatically. I can now open and close a huge skylight remotely from my phone. Seems to work flawlessly.

@raremIf you do connect it without switching the neutrals  this would still work but not how the manufacturer suggests.

I dont know why they do this, possible safety back up if one set of contacts weld or easier on the contacts.

Many actuators dont switch there neutrals.

Thanks Jamie. Given that it's working and getting it to work the way the manufacturer suggests is beyond me, I'm going to just use it the way I have it.

 

Now I have to get it to appear in Indigo as roller shutter/blind. It currently appears as a dimmable light!
