The Button FGPB101

Hi!

I have two "The Button" devices in my Network. One of them works 95% of the time but the other seems to work only about 50% or less.

After it once worked it then continues to work all the time for about a day. Than it hangs again. Is there some Parameter

I could set to prevent this kind of behaviour?

Thank you!

  • Just received an answer to my support-request. Fibaro wants me to send the devices in to the Support-Center.

    I'll try and report.

Yeah, I'm also interested since I have one Fibaro button that is collecting dust since it refuses to be included to my HC2. I excluded it because it stopped working completely 100%, even exclusion I had to do by force.

You probably already tried this, but I ask to be on the safe side. Did you try a fresh, original ER14250 battery? When these batteries are nearly empty (or bad quality), they can have enough power to (sometimes) send "button pushes". But they won't have enough power to do an inclusion. If you have a voltmeter and a 1 k resistor, you can check this condition. If you get less than 3.4 V batteries are suspect.  A Door/Window sensor will start to behave erratically. Unfortunately, I haven't tested the behaviour of "the button", and it uses a completely new chip, so its behaviour might be different.

    Hi @petergebruers,

Yes I did try with completely new battery, even I check it before to be sure that is really ok, but still didn't manage to make it work. I still think that it is defective, same as one Fibaro wall plug that didn't work out of the box and that Fibaro swipe beeping all the time and having trouble with recognizing hand movement at first swipe.

I'm still thinking should I spent more money to send those faulty devices to Fibaro or just forget them. Anyway I found good alternative for button and swipe just really hope that Fibaro will enable deleting warnings that I have devices without template. Since template is really not crucial for device to work properly I don't see any reason why those annoying warnings can't be deleted?

Yes I just sent my back...a real shame they have. a real quality problem. I have a brown one that works...the rest simply don't.

Seems as I'm not alone with issues. I found the (a) solution and it's explained in this post:

In my case there is no fix, just a problem with the hardware.

    Similar problems

About every day, or shorter time, I got to wakeup my button so it's able to receive clicks again. frustrating.

Tried wakeup at "0" secs or "4000" secs in WEB GUI. tried soft configure. Any other ideas?
