Danfoss temp setting during summer, when no heating is needed

kunoch

Question

I do have scenes for day and night as well as weekends, adjusting the temperature as needed.

How would you set the temperature during summer, when the central heating is switched off to:

minimize battery consumption?

avoid unnecessary activation of the motor?

all the way down to 'freezing protection' or all the way up as it will never get that warm and the valves are kept fully open (free flow)

how have you solved the 'summer'?

I am really wondering how you do this, removing the batteries can not really be the solution

    Hi
I set my 15 degrees, so they are completely closed.
The water in the tubes circulates at 31 degrees so the floor of the bathroom is not completely cold.
The Danfoss thermostats open and close automatically once a week (Built-in function in danfoss) , so the valves do not get caught.:)

    Have a good summer.:)

  • @hTiger1 thank you for this feedback. It is my thinking as well that they open onece a week, so I will set them to lowest temp, as here I switch the heating completely off during summer, so there is no water circulation in the system.

  • Just for Info, I got the very same information from Danfoss, to set the thermostats to a low temperature, so they keep closed and once a week they do the automated open close to keep the valves from getting stuck.

So I will add this to my VD for the heating control.
