Roller Shutter 2 with Somfy Orea RTS

danielbanker

Question

Hello everybody,

I have a new awning with motor from Somfy. Its a Somfy Orea RTS motor only with radio transmitter. No other switch.

To connect the motor I only have three cabels. Live, Neutral and Earth. No other cabels for up and down.

I now want to install the roller shutter 2 from fibaro to connect the awning with my HC2.

But to connect the somfy orea rts motor with the roller shutter 2 I need 2 more cabels (for up and down) to put them into Q1 and Q2... but I dont have them.

Does anyone have any idea how to connect such a awning-motor to the HC2?

Thanks for help (and sorry for my terrible english) ;)

  • And this interface is directly compatible to the Fibaro HC2?

Or do I need a homebridge (like Home Wizard) between the somfy and the fibaro?

Do you have an idea where to buy the interface?

Im from Germany and I dont see any online-shop for this...

Edit: Ahh I see. 300 USD at amazon.com and here in Germany nearly 500 Euro... Its a very expensive solution just for one awning.... hmm...

It is on Z-Wave level. So it will most probably be shown as a "blind" not as "awning" in UI. And yes, it is quite pricy.

I had the same problem, i just changed the tubemotor for a manual version (40 Euro) and connected it to the Fibaro Rollershutter module.

Sell the Somfy and you are done :-)

    Dear @danielbanker

i have coonected a set of 5 Somfy RTS blinds to my HC2, having used a Raspberry Pi with a RFX433e to send the 433 mHz RTS signal ( cannot be done by the HC2 system directly).

Look at my posting of about a year ago, which includes a manual how to setup the system.
