GC Itach IR channel short cuts

Wahine

Question

Hi guys! My first post here.

i am trying to create to channel short cuts and was wondering how to drop 2 IR strings onto a button in a virtual device eg sendir,1:1,1"code for button 5"sendir,1;1,1"code for button 2"

i am successful at sending a single ir code just unsure how to combine more than one code string to a single button. Would also be handy for turning tv and amp on from one press. Can anyone advise how I can create a custom page where I can use custom channel logos as buttons and assign ir. codes for those channels?

cheers!

Hi @Wahine

I tried that and you can only send one string. From your description it sounds like you're trying to select a channel with 2 or 3 numbers

One solution may be to create one vd with all the individual ir commands and then use another button in the same vd ( or a different vd) to 'press' the two buttons you need in sequence. You may need to put a small sleep between the two button presses to allow the receiving device to process them correctly

  • @AutoFrank thanks for your reply and you are correct i am trying to select two different numbers as a short cut to favourite channels, how does one "create one vd with all the individual ir commands and then use another button in the same vd ( or a different vd) to 'press' the two buttons you need in sequence. You may need to put a small sleep between the two button presses to allow the receiving device to process them correctly" cheers

    Hi @Wahine

    Have you created the virtual device with the individual IR commands that you need ?

    @Wahine

    So that part you want is just to create a button to press two other vd buttons ?

    Do you want it be be part of the vd you already created ?

    On the same vd would be preferred

    Ideally i would like to have graphic symbols of each channel or sat tv channel so i could go direct with one press so i will likely also build a seperate page for sat
