Alarm + RFID Tag Reader

DonQuichopp

Question

Hi All

I have a question, I have set up the Zipato RFID Tagreader to arm sensors in HC2. That works fine, also the detection of intrusion work perfectly. Now do I understand it correctly that he only way to disarm the alarm is via the app or the website of HC2? I cannot do it by using the tag reader?

thanks and cheers

Don

You can. Make scene to disarm the sensor if RFID reader is "unlocked". You do not need a web browser or any other UI. Just a proper Tag or pin.

  • Thanks @jakub.jezek I will need to test this again :-) i thought that the Zipato RFID Tagreader did not work while the alarm was ongoing.

    that would be great news if that would work.

    cheers

    I have this setup, the only trick is that the HC2 is not aware of the Zipato state.. so if Zipato thinks you are "home" and you arm via the app, when you come back and press "home" to disarm it won't do anything (as it thinks that userid is already home)

    I have seen some scripts on this forum relating to syncing the state by reading the event log, but its not worth it for me.. I just exclusively use the Zipato with a PIN and all is well

    working quite well with scripts from siio.de.

    i'll post the final setup once working ;-)

    @shaunfrost

    i would also only use it exclusively (no setting via APP), so I just need it to be working to stop the alarm with the Tag Reader.

    I run this scene (and it is set to run in an alarm state also, so I can disarm if the alarm is running)

    --[[
    %% properties
    374 value
    %% events
    %% globals
    --]]
    jT = json.decode(fibaro:getGlobalValue("HomeTable"));
    local trigger = fibaro:getSourceTrigger()
    local rfid_value_status = ''

    Debug = function ( color, message )
      fibaro:debug(string.format('<%s style="color:%s;">%s', "span", color, message, "span"))
    end
    if (trigger['type'] == 'property') then
     fibaro:debug('RFID Scene')
     local rfid_ID = tonumber(trigger['deviceID'])
     local rfid_value = tonumber(fibaro:getValue(rfid_ID, 'value'))
      if (rfid_value == 1) then
        rfid_value_status = 'Away'
        Debug('red', 'Status ' ..rfid_value_status)
       fibaro:startScene(jT.scene.leaving) --Alarm Arming Scene
      elseif (rfid_value == 0) then
        rfid_value_status = 'Home'
        Debug('green', 'Status ' ..rfid_value_status)
       fibaro:startScene(jT.scene.arriving) -- alarm Disarming Scene
      end
    end

    siio.de had some good writeups of how you can integrate it. Basically as others have said, you have to write a scene to arm/disarm the sensors you want to include in the alarm when the keypad is toggled. Its a pain about the status not sync'ing with the device from HC2, but as its a battery powered device, thats just part and parcel. Maybe a new version supporting FLiRS will solve that issue.

    At the moment, I'm using a Fibaro Switch instead to arm/disarm my alarm. As it has no state, it just runs arm/disarm script each time you do the magic gestures to it.

  • it is working now, I needed to make sure that the scene was executable also with an alarm ongoing, I think I didn't save it correctly :)

    I will need some work to complete the Setup but it won't be before the end of the month/beginning of next. The funeral of my dad is coming up, so no strength to do much.

    I'll keep you informed though.

    Cheers

    Don
