Question

Hi

I'm having a little hard time for whatever reason on getting JSON string into local variables in a VD.

The JSON string is:

my code for this:

I have also tried printing the key value pairs but I never got anything into the debug window...

Any pointers appreciated!

Thanks,

Timo L

  • Thanks @boerremk! I don't quite get why I need the [1]. Can you explain?

If you can see in your response it is within brackets, starts with [ and ends with ], so it is an element (the first), that means you need [1]

  • That explains it! :) Thanks!

Just for the background info I'm using RuuviTag devices in let's say more harsh environments like Sauna to get humidity, temperature etc info.

    Nice little devices...

  • This was in the kickstarter. 3 x tags were priced 23USD each. Not bad at all. I don't know what will the street price be on these.

I have a Raspberry Pi 3 which has a python script reading the data from the RuuviTag. Seems to work pretty ok.

I'm only planning to use these on moist environments like bathroom and sauna. Normal room temperatures are collected with Fibaro FGMS sensors.
