Virtual Switch On/Off/Dim

Hi,

In my HC2 setup I have few LED strips connected to RGBW devices and of course few devices in panel to control each strip separately.

I have associated button click with all 7 devices to turn light. Moreover I have virtual device to control strips in different groups set.

 

Right now I would like to be able to control those lights also from Alexa ( will be using HA Bridge ).

Correct me if I`m wrong but above is not enough to control light via Alexa. In my opinion I need something like Virtual Switch as Dimmer under which I will have X LED strips assigned. It should allow to create link for HA to turn On / Off and Dim.

Question is: How to create such a Virtual Dimmer?

You can control the slider on your VD directly with HA bridge

How about On/Off ? 

Can I set manually slider value to 100 / 0 and use link as On / Off command? How argument value should be specified correctly?

Yes on the ha bridge you can use the normal on  and off commands in the on off sections

and the separate dim slider account

@signhathongminh making Virtual Device was not issue there  Already have a lot of them. 

Idea was to create virtual switch that will look in Home Center as for example FIbaro Dimmer device. Found that some time ago it was possible via custom Plugins.

 

But since HA allow VD support I will try this.

If it is a question of taste then no dispute about it, but from the ergonomic point of view i think, that a button is easier and more precise to work with
