Official Google Home Support for HC2

amonts

Question

Hi Community,

I know that there are other topics regarding my question. But all of them propose to use HA-Bridge which is not what I want to do.

My question is if there are plans to officially support Google Home. Means if Fibaro is implementing a google action so you can control HC2 devices through Google Home (or assistant on a phone/tablet).

Thanks in advance

Tobias

Nope. I have a hard enough time getting Google to recognise "Fibaro" instead of Figaro or February  haha

Not available on my Google Assistant yet (AU also), however very strange you have to 'Talk to Fibaro' before getting it to do anything! My implementation works as a normal home control device, where I can just say Turn on XXX, Is XXX on etc.

........Scratch that, it is available, but its not in the 'Home Control apps' list, you just have to put in 'Talk to Fibaro' and it wil come back with a button 'Link FIBARO to Google'

Seems to link ok, but getting the same 'DependentServiceUnavailableError' as others

FOUND IT!

First, you have to link your account; then you have to chose a homecenter; then you can start controlling your devices (in red my comments)

@sirKitKat seems to post it at the wrong thread. I tested and it is working =)

Hello!

It is still not working for me. Does it require the latest beta installed on the HC?

It does not require the latest beta, you can stay on stable firmware.

As you could observer, it's still rolling out.

However, the availability of it in particular countries is quite confusing.

@Robert Folbigg, do you use iOS or Android?

Did you try to list all the home devices, like I did (had the same error)

Okay, I've seen this screenshot earlier.

Did you try that again?

Could you start with something simpler? Just: Talk to Fibaro

Are those other Australian friends are on iOS or Android?

I suppose you've enabled remote access? And are running the latest stable version (4.140) ?

I've just checked, and my home center is indeed linked to my fibaro account, and online. I tried the 'list devices' command and it came back with ...

'I wasn't able to find any Home Center Devices. Please add Home Center devices to your Fibaro account'

Which I already have done and verified thru home.fibaro.com

Must still be rolling out.....and like other's say, can't seem to work out how to say 'Fibaro' so that it is picked up, i'm typing it in on the Keyboard input of the Assistant app!! - be good if someone know the phonetics on how to say it properly so that its picked up ??

FYI, I have just received this in response to the support request I lodged regarding this not working in Australia:

Apparently it’s still in the test phase so I guess I found the first bug....

@Robert Folbigg, a second ago I just had the similar issue, but I've rebooted the Home Center, gave it some time, and it's working now:
