motion sensors going crazy daily...

Sticcino

Question

Hi,

Having a rough time with the Fibaro motion sensors, total disaster with Smarthings. I have one in the front, it goes of every 2 hours. today it went of 3 times in a matter of seconds. Yesterday it triggered 5 times during the day when there is no one home.

I have 3 of these sensors,  the front and basement take turns tormenting me, the kitchen one is much more calm and I think it went off only once.

Smarthings is saying its fibaro... yada yada yada

any insights appreciated. I've attached some samples

Johnny

If its FGMS 002, than its known issu. Try to look here :

You have to play with sensitivity parameter a bit.

i had one on a window and threw it away.  it wouldn't stop sending me notifications, like your having now.  the problem is when the double sided tape on the back begins to weaken directly behind the tamper switch (TMP button), sending notifications every 60 seconds.... "the sensor thinks its been removed, tripping the TMP button"
