Alexa has forgotten all my devices and scenes

Kate

Question

Have been successfully using Alexa to control my devices and scenes for a couple of months now, but suddenly yesterday Alexa wasn't working. Checked in the interface and it was showing them all offline. Tried to rediscover them all and they all disappeared.

I've tried all the usual things: rebooting my HC2, disabling and re-enabling the skill and re-linking my account, updating my HC2, etc etc. Nothing. Everything is fine in the HC2; everything in both the app (Android) and via the browser works; widgets work fine on Android.

Any suggestions? I'm in the UK. Thanks, all.

Hi there!

I've received the information that during 0:00-0:02 (CET), there was a reflux of connections caused probably by technical maintenance works by some ISP. This made the connection to Alexa unavailable for two minutes.

To regain Alexa functionality, you can:

1) Go to your Smart Home settings and click "Discover devices".

Please login or register to see this attachment.

2) Ask Alexa: "Alexa, discover devices".

NO WAY !!

no devices found!

BTW: Of course just scanning for devices again is one of the first we all have done. Reboot, skill re-installation, scanning,... all done. no result

Hi @I.Srodka,

sorry, but it is still not working! Just tried it and no devices found. I also removed the skill from Alexa and added it again, but it does not help.

Best regards, Julian

Hi @I.Srodka,

since my Alexa is working as expected, is it possible, that the issues only occurs on some Home Centers, or in some areas?

Yes, the main functions are now back.

Only discoverability in the web interface may be missing for some users.
