Aeotec Wallmote Quad for dimming

Helgemor

Question

Hi All

I’ve just bought an Aeotec Wallmote Quad controller.

When I add it to my HC2, I can select what to do when I press or hold any of the four buttons. Nice!

But: I want to use it to control a Fibaro Dimmer. The Wallmote has swipe commands that should do this, but I can’t get it to work.

Please help!

Sorry no bonus. I just got enough of this cr*p. Constantly loosing connectivity to HC2. Gonna sell my 3 Quads before i smash them into Aeotec Puzzles.

how old is yours? not that you have buggy hardware, aeotec had some time ago recall.

  • I got it to work, sort of. By setting parameter 4 to 3 and 3 to 1.

But dimming by sliding is very difficult to control.

    Sometimes it doesn't do anything.

Sometimes it changes the light a lot with just i little slide movement.

What can be done with that? Anyone else with similar experiences?

Yup. Same problems with Wallmote here. First of all Fibaro seems to ignore existence of Wallmotes and doesn't provide template of parameters nor icon - been sending request for year now. No suprise there. Also I coudn't set up dimming option. Tried with RGBW, but i'll try with Dimmer soon. Finally if anyone is intending to buy Wallmote and expect seamless problem-free experience - forget it. Switches just shouldn't be "touch" toggled - now I know.

BTW - Hello as this is my first post here xD

Tin that's interesting! I bought them about 1.5 years ago. That was something like presale so I already sent Aeotec question if they would replace them or exchange for few multisensors. I'll get back when they answer. Thanks for the tip!
