Fibaro Roller Shutter v2

SoDa

Question

Hi,

My name is Dave and I'm new here.

I have five Windows with electic roller shutters.

I want to use the Roller Shutter v2 from Fibaro to automate these things.

But I'm not sure if I will be able to connect the exesting switch to the system.

The regular swithes uses three wires but mine has six wires.

Please find attached some pictures.

I there someone who can help in this matter ?

Thx,

Dave

Hi @SoDa!

Welcome to our community!

If your motor is DC, you can't use our Roller Shutter. Roller Shutter can control AC motors in electric shutters.

  • Hi,

No, my motor is an AC motor.

But the button used is a two pole switch :

    Hi @SoDa!

At first I have to mention that all electrician wiring should be made by a certified electrician.

Okay then, as I suspect, your AC motor schema looks like this:

I suggest you to connect our Roller Shutter in the following manner:

But you can also have a look at this wiring diagram at:

You may need to reverse the wiring but just a pair previously used should be connected.

Above ideas is just for the purpose of inspiration. All electrician works should be executed be a qualified electrician. Fibaro cannot be held responsible for any damages.

  • Hi,

Thanks for all the info !

My five roller shutters are working fine in combination with Athom Homey !

The next thing I want to is to control my garagedoor openers.

    I'm using a NovoPort from NovoFerm :

Can I put the Fibaro Roller Shutter between the cable that goes to the motor to control it ?

There are three cables going to the motor.

So I was thinking about connection the cables that are going the motor to Q1 and Q2.

And to connect the cables that are comming from the control unit to S1 and S2.

I will interconnect the blue cable so that this one goes straight to the motor.

Than I just need to connect elektricity to L and N.

    Good plan ?

Or will this not work ?

    Kind regards,

    Dave
