Question

I have an VD to gather real time values for monitoring battery bank.

I can see these values in HC2 but not in Fibaro App (android). Is there an Fibaro App bug? Could be fixed somehow?

Thank a lot for any feedback,

Tomas

  • I'm trying to see that data coming from the Arduino board into the Virtual Device... from Fibaro App (Android).

But in our app, which view do you check? Could you post a screenshot where do you think this VD should be?

  • Srodka, first scenario was using no labels for Virtual Device, so the only info I was looking for was the "green text" to display the values (exactly as used by default do display "power" for wallplug). So that green line cannot be seen in App.
In the second, I used labels; now I can see the labels (values attached) in App. It is ok for me now.

Can you help to figure out another issue, please?
I have that Virtual Device monitoring a battery bank. I would like to set the global variable to "1" if the battery is charged (>96V) and to "0' if it's discharged (<96V). I already create that variable but I don't know how to create the scene since the "if" cannot call the virtual device at all (I mean in "block scenes", the virtual device are not displayed to let me set the ui.Label1.value as trigger).
Some code example will help me a lot, Srodka!

    Thanks,

    T

    My not-working code is this:

    Hi @Tomax!

I would drop that scene and I think it would be better to use VD completely instead.

Just make a VD which will check it as well:

Set some sleep time, for example 5 seconds, and code that this VD will change the global variable.

  • Hi Srodka,

I've tried to code as you suggest but I found that the function

can be used only for global variables that are not read-only variables
    (source:

     ).

Is any way to overwrite/change an read-only global variable (to one of 4 predefined values)?
