Recommended Posts

I am trying to establish a direct connection between my raspberry PI 3 and Fibaro Motion HomeKit Sensor via BLE.

Connection works, however i don't know the UUID and the characteristics UUID of the motion sensor result. Any ideas how to find the correct UUID?

Hi @django!

I don't think anybody was able to connect to a HomeKit device via BT.

The official knowledge states that BT is only a technology to communicate using HomeKit protocol:

HomeKit Accessory Protocol (HAP) is Apple’s proprietary protocol that enables third-party accessories in the home (e.g., lights, thermostats and door locks) and Apple products to communicate with each other. HAP supports two transports, IP and Bluetooth LE.

In other words, Bluetooth just transports the communication.
