Oraclemaster

Question

Hi all,

I just bought fibaro wall plug and try to install it. When I plug it in the e-socket, leds just turn white and thats all.

I dont have any home center, can this be the issue ? I thought, i can use it just with iphone via you app.

Thank you in advance for your help what to do.

Dominik

Hi,

the model is: FIBARO FGWPF-102 and should be homekit compatible. But isnt it blink yellow at least as it written in manual ? Can it be made issue from factory ?

Thank you

With that model, you need a controller. You cannot pair an "ordinary" z-wave device with your smartphone. A smartphone use wifi and bluetooth. Your wall plug use z-wave. Take it back to the shop and change it to a wall plug that is made for Apple HomeKit (if your smartphone is from Apple).

You need version FGBWHWPF-102

You need some sort of z-vawe controller. HC2 or HCL if you like Fibaro

Unless it is an HomeKit compatible wall plug (Apple). Then an iPhone or an iPad can control it directly.

However, if it is a "normal" Fibaro Wall Plug, then a controller is indeed needed.

    No, it shouldn't.

The version for HomeKit is named: Wall Plug (FGBWHWPE-102/FGBWHWPF-102).

As @Thomasn suggested, you should take it back to the store as your is a Z-Wave version.
