Master-Slave Gateway-Connection

Hi all,

where can i find information about Master-Slave Gateway-Connection between two Homecenter?

 

I have established such a connection between HCL (buero) and HC2 (home) via VPN and like to get some help – sharing devices, scenes, alarm, video etc.

Is there an official guide from fibaro?

Create a VPN and make both controllers available in the same IP range. Then, you can add a secondary controller like if it would be on you local network.

Hi @Basti ,

All you need to do is go into Configuration and choose Gateway Connections. There you'll see the list of connected devices etc.

Hello, I want to connect two hc2 via remote gateway connection but they aren't on the same network, can you connect them over the internet?

i guess (not sure) that you need to set up a vpn connection.

So how can I setup a hc2 to be on the same network using vpn? Also thank you very much for the help!

I spoke with a guy who had connected the two hc2 over internet without vpn. So the idea was to open a port for the slave hc2 so if you would type you public ip:port number the hc2 login will appear and then you would go to the master hc2 and to gatway connection and add the public ip of the slave hc2 with the port number, I have done all of that and when I enter the credentials it says check if connected to the internet. any idea?
