Battery empty

Vinisz

Question

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can explain this.

Why are batteries of the sensor suddenly empty ?

I run a battaery check every knight , yesterday is wass still at 89%, today it is dead....

I changed the battery and everything up and running again.

Any idea ? this is the third sensor that behaves this way.

Just discovered a similar problem with one of my Fibaro Motion sensors. Suddently it stopped working. I woked it up and the battery is now only 50%.

Sorry to say that this looks like "normal" behaviour for motion sensors and door window sensors 1 and 1 z-wave 5. I have one fairly new door window sensor 2, so I dont know if it has the same bad battery reporting.

I had the same with the motion sensors.

Not sure what causes those problems but from 90 % they drop within just a few days to 0. No email about empty battery as it goes this fast.

I have changed the battery company with the same effect.

Seems like something is going wrong with those sensors and sometimes they need a full reconnect with a new battery.

Would be great to see a solution for those issues.

But let me tell you that I have also other motion sensors not from Fibaro with the same issue.

Maybe related to a faulty HC2?

One of my new sensor in first day battery was ok, second day low battery(red light) and in the next day MS stop answer... I think there is a problem IN THE SENSOR(not battery)
