SIP Intercom

Arnold

Question

Good afternoon
If Fibaro stopped supporting the program of Fibaro Intercom, how to connect third-party intercoms using SIP technology? Or the function of the SIP server in Home Center 2 is now superfluous?

I use beward ds06mp -

SIP-protocol: integration of an IP-based doorphone into an IP network
The BEWARD DS06M call panel with SIP support opens up new possibilities for users. Thanks to the universal and open protocol, the SIP-video doorphone BEWARD DS06M can be connected to SIP-devices of other manufacturers (SIP-intercoms, IP-telephones, IP-videophones, SIP-monitors, IP-tubes, SIP-softphones, mobile SIP-clients for various platforms, etc.). IP-intercom can work through IP-PBX or communicate with another SIP device directly. DS06M enables you to receive a call and open the door (DTMF tone dialing) when diverting to a regular cellular or landline phone.

Hi! (Privet!)

but sip port still opened.

Nmap scan report for smarthome.local (192.168.1.36)
Host is up (0.00037s latency).
Not shown: 995 closed ports
PORT      STATE SERVICE
22/tcp    open  ssh
80/tcp    open  http
2000/tcp  open  cisco-sccp
5060/tcp  open  sip
11111/tcp open  vce

I have tested local call from PC (MicroSIP)  to my raspberry sip cam via FIBARO HC2.

so, sip server still works properly.

one issue here - now we need own application for calling to doorbell.

  • I think that FIBARO should write an application for connecting third-party intercoms, and do not expect that everyone will buy their doorphone for 1000 euros

SIP and SIP call events on HC2 are still supported, the old intercom app has been hidden to not confuse customers, which honestly was good idea from support point of view. Let's hope the old intercom app will reborn (with more features and better interface), if not we will have to use 3rd part apps :\

3rd part apps - But there is no universal solution
