i fu..up

i made a scene

to reboot the HC2 

 

HomeCenter.SystemService.reboot();

 

but made it also

%%autostart

 

dont ask me why?!

 

but now it's in a loop with rebooting

 

can i manualy remove this scene!!

Omg! As far as I know HC2 have no  safemode

I put this in as a request in recovery mode but no answer from Fibaro

I do not have the exact code right now, but you might be able to use the API to disable that scene, if there is a delay in that autostart routine. Too late now, but always put 30-60 second delay in autostart scene.

I support that idea. But I do not think it is easy. As far as I can tell that recovery partition is big and they do not update it remotely. Support can do that, for instance, if your checksum failed. But in all other cases I think your partition remains at the version installed at the factory.

Didn't know that about the partition.

Maybe a simple grace period after boot would be an option? 

No zwave scenes and vd's running for 5 minutes after boot. Just the GUI and option to delete scenes vd's and devices. And maybe a start system button to skip the grace period.

I really appreciate your honesty. I takes some courage to post this on a forum. But I think it is worth it. You re-opened the debate to have some sort of safe mode and the %%autostart delay!

Something along those lines. I think I would do it like this... After boot start all sevices, but not automation. I'd say that is all Lua (so scenes + VDs) and plugins. After the web server is up and a user can login, present the option "disable all automation". If the user does not hit that button within 30-60 seconds after the web interface was up, start automation.
