Now, i believe it is official. HC2 is comming in Black.

 

I think that black color is better then grey polished aluminium color since I like darker colors more and have darker furniture. Also blue LEDs looks with that "black coat" better.

Mine sits inside a server rack. Honestly, I would be very surprised to find people using HC2 as part of their decor. 

 

Immediate reaction - instead of doing this misguided nonsense Fibaro should hire a couple of developers to address the features this community wants. Or at least have someone to run systemic polling/voting for the features on this forum. I can bet money that black box would not come up on top in such a poll.

We will see,

there were plans for a black swipe, it never made it. i guess sales were to low for the white one.

 

i wish there where black hc2's when i bought mine, i am not going to sell mine so i can buy a black one.

i think that the hc3 will be in black though.....

to be very honest, i do have my HC2 between my Luxman Hi-Fi system (black version), so that silver was always not what i looked for.

fibaro thinks that the lack of color selection is the cause for customer to select other controllers...what I can say....It is like an old car that does not have AC and manufacturer decided to make an external face lift.

Mine does not. But now HC2 won't be "fist in the eye" among dark or black HW.

Just for a swipe? I know about atleast one project for black color.

There are and will be new features ongoing for Fibaro. But Fibaro keeps it till official release. But i cannot say more, since it is not officialy released.

I would like something with Apple TV size (4K version) and PoE+ . You would need just one cable and antenna.

 

But i think black color is better for every controller so you could place it almost everywhere as part of decor. With right size even on plain sight (top of closet, cupboard, bookshelf, ...). Max. size is HC2 size in my opinion.

Maybe better finish. My HC2 starts to have some white mess on it, instead of staying grey. ANd when i clean it it appears after few minutes.

Lol! Looking at this process, if I head to the grocery store to buy this stuff then people might believe that I am going to cook some Meths.

And wonder what will happen with the white letters engraved currently on the HC2.

 

However, welcome black! My HC2 is located in the middle of the house mostly because I get the best range out of the z-wave. And the middle of the house is... the TV cabinet. The silver HC2 is the odd one out among the rest of black devices.
