How to recalibrate Roller Shutter 1 FGR221 ?

Emphyrio

Question

I seem unable to trigger a calibration sequence for my Fibaro Roller Shutter 1 (FGR221 v2.1). The manual states the only possible way to trigger a calibration is to reset the unit by excluding then including it into the Z-wave network.

I tried this several times. For the last try, I also cut the power for 30 seconds before including it again. In the manual I read that, after a succesful include, there should be a calibration sequence. This does not happen.

Do you have any suggestions for triggering a calibration?

@Emphyrio

This is with the B-button on the roller shutter

  1. Make sure the module is supplied
  2. Add the device to the Z-Wave network
  3. Press and hold the B-button
  4. Wait for the visual indicator to glow yellow (4th MENU position)
  5. Release the B-button
  6. Press the B-button again, briefly
  7. The device will perform the calibration process, completing full cycle – up, down and up again
  8. Test whether the positioning works correctly

@Reinhold: Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, it is not working. I think the described steps are for Roller Shutter v2, I own a V1. It does not have a visual indicator. I tried your steps, but nothing is happening.

I hope someone can help with the proper steps for V1 (FGR-221 instead of FGR-222). Or if I'm mistaken somehow, please let me know.

    Hi
On roller shutter2, there is a button in the interface.
I do not know if it's on yours, but maybe you have not seen it.

    Hi Empyrio,

I am sorry I cant help you, but I have a similar problem. I have 3x FGR-221 shutters and I am not able to pass the calibration.

What kind of motor is connected to your shutter?

Mine is Somfy J4W6 (6nm + electronic end switches / ~95W) and when using S1/S2 switches on the module, it only moves few centimeters up and down so it is not possible to do a full down and full up sequence.

    Cheers,

    Petr
