Roller Shutter 2, Aeotec Z-wave stick and Homebridge

bjornand

Question

Hi, before buying the components and trying it, I was wondering whether some of you Fibaro experts know if this will work:

  • Install a Roller Shutter 2 behind my exterior blinds motor switch
  • Use a Aeotec Z-wave stick to connect to the Roller Shutter 2 (I do not have any Z-wave control central)
  • The Aeotec Z-wave stick is intended to be plugged into my Synology DS-713+ NAS
  • And on that NAS, I run Homebridge, for which there is a plugin that is supposed to support the Roller Shutter 2

In theory, that should allow controlling the blinds from my iPhone using the Home app or Siri.

Hi @bjornand

Siri works with Roller Shutters on the HC2 using Homebridge. If there exist a plugin for your zwave controller, I don’t see why it should not work.
