RFC for Virtual Devices

Hi ALL including the moderators @T.Konopka and @I.Srodka!

I'm not sure where to post, because there is no RFC section, but I like to propose an RFC for the Virtual devices:

 

1. Make it possible same as for the scenes or physical devices to make a VD Hidden in the system.

2. Make it possible to stop the Main Loop in a VD.

 

Specially option 2. can help to prevent disasters and is also very useful for testing purposes.

Sorry, I hope that I understand you correctly. You would like to have a separate category for VD similar to this one for Scenes and Interface

Can you elaborate on this? Give me an example of how you see this in action, maybe with an example of a VD that you use.

sorry for misunderstanding. I meant a section for change proposals, not for VD's

For example there is a VD with main loop updating some malformed global table by doing api calls. Unfortunately i don't have such VD in use now. The main loop can significantly slow down HC2 and then it comes handy by stopping the VD's one for one to find the cause of slowing down.

I hope i coul'd express my self a bit more clear with my bad English
