Send close command to devices from 2nd association group

Hi, I have a Fibaro Flood sensor (FGFS101 Zwave+). I would like to raise an improvement opportunity.

It is currently not possible to send close command to devices from 2nd association group upon flood event. Only turning a device on or dimming level are available. It would have been useful to send also a close command (i.e. sending a close command to a water shut-off valve). In which case, the main controller would not be a critical element in the process of closing the valve. Only the flood sensor and the water shut-off valve are involved with the 2nd association group. Allowing for less element of failure in the closing process of the valve. I have sometimes problems with my main controller. Less system involved, better it is, for flood mitigation.

The idea is to extend the current function of the 2nd association group by adding the ability (with configuration parameter) to send a close command. The user has the choice to send close, open or dimming command.

Looking forward to your feedback
Thanks,
Philippe

  • Any feedback on this suggestion. Closing the main water valve on 2nd association group when flood detected is currently not possible. In my opinion, this is pretty basic function. Competitors are already doing it.

    Hello,

I have the same problem, I find it unfortunate that in the parameters of the flood sensor there is the possibility to turn on a device using the association but not to turn it off.

Considering the date of the first post (2018) I think I will have no choice to use a scene ...

Hoping one day for a flood sensor update.
