@10der

Clever to use the autopresence counter in other scene too!

Till now, my solution was to check all global variables of family members, if all are gone set alarm.

Hi people

I ve been trying this, ut I face some issues. Let me know if anyone else, had the same situation.

When my mobile phone is too long without use, it doen´t work. I am at home, in my wireless network, but fibaro can not find me.

I tried prior the test, 30 or 40 seconds before send a push notification (identifing user position) to wake my mobile, however it doesn´t seen to work.

In my case, the best solution (not the ideal) if use two tests, fist using IFTTT (that sometimes also fail) and than testing my presense in wireless network). It works, but in many cases present the wrong result...

Is the a precise way, I mean, that work a 100% to identify my presence?

Regards

Don’t iBeacons require an app installed on phone to monitor its distance from these beacons or tags? Don’t they use Bluetooth technology too?

I do not use phone app

yes it's Bluetooth technology.

all very easy. IMHO.

near home entrance door working rPi. it monitors family iBeacons.

Just so that I understand better. I’m imagining a raspberry pi near the front door. When it detects the proximity of a tag then this flags someone is in.

Don’t they have a limited range?  If someone is at home but say in the garden are they at home or away? Perhaps you have lots of raspberry pis around the house that detect iBeacons?

Im interested as I have been trying to tackle this problem for along time.

Hi,

Tried to use your VD with looks great but I am unable to get it running.

Keep getting the error message:

Please login or register to see this image.

/monthly_2019_01/1920745726_Schermafdruk2019-01-0916_43_56.png.8439295364d1ab441ab681517c12452e.png" alt="1920745726_Schermafdruk2019-01-0916_43_56.png.8439295364d1ab441ab681517c12452e.png" />

And even without changing the mac addresses to my own mac addresses of my phones it shows that they are present.

Any idea?

Thanks

Eric

Hi 10der,

I like to use your VD because the VD from the french forum is eating to much CPU.

But I do not get yours running.

I keep getting the same fault in the debug, see above screenshot.

Can you help me out?

Thanks

Eric

UPD:

1) create global vars

SecuritySystem

AutoPresence

2) create global vars per home user names

like a

PeterPresence

HannahPresence

SaraPresence

3) change sceneCheckId according to presence check scene

as I can see

1) phones should have static IP

2) idk, what is a port pinging. this port closes for my IPhone. AFAIR 3500 it's RTMP Port. but again idk what mean the author of this post

...

your second link also useless for me. :)

native FIBARO integration works with periodically requests (polling) user GPS location. It's not a good solution as for me for this task:

1) not accurate at all

2) require "GPS always on"

3) as a result -  FIBARO app ("eat") drain battery

4) and last - main issue (as for me) - real IP address and your ISP must not use NAT firewalling for your router.

I have a Fingbox, it has excellent presence detection capabilities.  The main benefit is it racts quickly to people arrigin home, is not fooled by e.g. iPhones going asleep for long periods, and does not require static IDs.  You associate MAC addresses with users.

It has also just been updated to support IFTTT.  I plan to test a Fibaro presence monitor using this over the weekend.

Apple home support  Away , night and disarmed modes.

night mode - when door and windows sensors armed

Away - + motion senors
