Hikvision jpg path and mjpg stream path for HC2

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a suggestion how to properly set up a jpg path and mjpg stream path for a Hikvision DS-2CD2185FWD-IS camera in the HC2?

I found following solutions on this forum working fine for for my Hikvision DS-2CD2135FWD-I camera but not for the DS-2CD2185FWD-IS model:

ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/picture

ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/preview

  • Thanks for your suggestion Stefke. The path appeared not to be the problem but the verification setting of the camera. Now I'm using for both camera's the paths as listed in my 13 May post.

    Hi,

First I would like thanks JanKarel.

He have very god suggestion and helped me.

In my case, the most important was the problem with communication cam<>HC2 ( HC2 not log into the cam)

password: to the cam sould contain only: normal letter, capital letter and numer. special character is not allowed ( fibaro can't recognize special character like: %^...)

Try uprading firmware to new one, and on cam: in type of substream schould be: mjpeg (640x480)

    IP:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80

    and link:

    ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/picture

    ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/preview

Just got my HIK camera up and running on HCL.

    A few simple suggestions:

1.Make sure you can see your cameras are working before you even try and add them to Fibaro ie. first step is getting them working on HIK Connect app (iPhone in my case). If you can see it through the HIK Connect app you know the cameras are at least working ok.

    2. Then add to HC (HCL in my case).

From the screen shot you sent, you've set user name as 'Fibaro'. User name should be the HIK camera user name you set when setting up the camera on HIK Connect app. Default is usually 'admin' then whatever password you set.

Each camera model seems to need slightly different configs to work. For mine (DS-2CD2042WD) I set the jpeg to: ISAPI/Streaming/channels/101/picture  and mpeg to: ISAPI/Streaming/channels/101/httppreview

But, even after this, for some reason the cameras still do not show an image in the HCL screen on my laptop (in either Safari or Chrome) - but they show up OK on the IOS app on my iPhone and my iPad. So it is half working (which is what I've come to expect from my Fibaro system in general...!)

Another way to see if you have them working outside of Fibaro is to use:

Please login or register to see this link.

(replacing with your own user name, password and IP address)- On a Mac, that will open in VLC app and show the live stream from your camera

    My cam model: CD-2DS2185FWD-I

In my case crucial problem was: communication cam<>HC2 ( HC2 not log into the cam). To check this. You schould see all of online users in www panel cam.

Hint from my site, maybe this somebody help:

    1. password: to the cam should contain only: normal letter, capital letter and numer. Special character is not allowed ( fibaro i think (v4.18), can't fowarding special character like: %^,[{#...),

    2. uprading firmware cam to new one,

    3. in configuration stream cam: type of substream cam schould be: MJPEG(640x480),

    4. in configuration of cam: configuration>system>security>verification: schould be “basic/digest

    Camera Model: IPCam

    IP:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80

    Link:

    ISAPI/Streaming/channels/101/picture

    ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/preview

    Maybe another one:

check number of this device in first configuration on cam , and try change to '1' ( when a receive my hikvision cam, this number of device cam was '88' and i have to change it)

    Good lock...

    Hi all

Two days ago I buyed new camera no ds-2cd2185fwd-is

I spent approx 2-3 hours on configuration and I found correct settings.

Firstly I tried add my camera via plugin, but this doesn't work.

Second choice was, add just like normal camera and now ok.

    IPCam

    login

    password

    http

    IP address:    XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:80
    JPG stream path:    ISAPI/Streaming/channels/101/picture
    MJPG stream path:    ISAPI/Streaming/channels/101/httppreview

    Everything working correct.

    Best Regards:

I set up two different camera:

    DS-2CD2183GO-I and DS-2CD2125FWD-I (both on version V5.6.2_190701)

It works with same settings for sub-stream channel (640x480, video encoding MJPEG)

    ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/picture

    ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httppreview

The only problem was that I could not to see them on Fibaro APP.

I found the answer of mfan (thank you for your post), to set the cam configuration>system>security>verification: should be “basic/digest”.

In the cam menu (on my version) I have changed configuration>system>security>Authentication>WEB Authentication to "basic/digest" and now I get images on phone.

I still get a message when I open any of the two camera: "Check MJPEG settings - using JPEG image now" but image appears normal.

Sometimes disappear then appear for a second... but it may be from the net traffic and my phone capabilities (I have totally 6 cams online).

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

On the other two type of video camera that I have:

    DS-2CD2142FWD-I (V5.4.3_160902) and DS-2CD2122FWD-IWS (V5.3.6_151105)

The following settings match the streaming:

    Streaming/channels/102/Picture

    Streaming/channels/102/Preview

The cams has no setting option for Autentication as "basic/digest".

These cams works fine on phone Fibaro APP (ver. 1.27.0.0) and Home Center (ver. 1.7.0), with no warning messages and stable image.

    Best regards and success!

    DS-2CD1321-I

    /ISAPI/Streaming/channels/1/picture

    /ISAPI/Streaming/channels/1/httppreview

    /ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httpPreview

In android app, I get info :

"check MJPG settings - used JPG" but stream works (2 fps... but works)
