@AutoFrank , I am guessing that your post is a form of complaining about the time you have to wait for your data.
I understand that there is a lot of fuss with GDPR. I am an end-user as well and I was hit with many, many emails and requests for confirmation/agreement to the new terms. And as well as you, I am concerned with the changes. And, yes, I asked questions as well.

I'm not a lawyer so I can provide you with any legal explanations concerning GDPR and Fibaro that's why you have the contact to our DPO. So, please, continue with our DPO and I am sure that you will receive all answers you need.

The GDPR was introduced in EU to level the requirements of data protection in all member countries. We simply adjusted our privacy policy to the requirement so that you can be sure that your personal data is protected accordingly to the law.

    Your assumption is incorrect.

     

    Your response is disappointingly full of sarcasm, lecturing in nature and not very helpful in assisting fibaro customers understand what fibaro as a company ( who I assume you represent) is actually doing ( in practical terms)  in their support of the GPDR introduction.

     

    ...beyond that I am a little lost for words.

    @Bodyart , any answer to legal query has its time frame and I think that 30 days (I don't know if it is specified anywhere) is somehow a standard one - at least in Poland.

     

    I want to be the best informant to the forum users as I can, I am fetching information to you on a daily basis and I love to do that! But here, I am merely unable to do that, because I'm not a lawyer and I cannot interpret legal terms for you as I may mislead you, and I don't want to do that. I can assure you that our DPO is the right person in the right position and he will help you with everything you want to know! So, I'd like to ask not to make any unnecessary confusion as it will not help anyone, especially you as an end-user.

    I explained in my previous post I am in no position of providing interpretation of the legal terms. That's why, it is stated in the Privacy Policy that you can contact our DPO (which you already did) if you have questions about your personal data.

    @T.Konopka,

     

    thank you for your kind explanation, but i wasn't surprised by duration of 1 month. I was surprised about the communication formats, which were used here .....Making me sad ;(

  • It has now been close to 2 months since I requested a copy of my personal data and I haven't received any communication from the fibaro dpo.

     

    I submitted my original request on May 25th and received an acknowledgement that it will take 1 month

    I asked for an update to my request two weeks ago on Jul 12th and didn't receive a response from the fibaro dpo

    I asked again this morning (Jul 24th) for an update to my request and haven't yet had a response from the fibaro dpo

     

    Has anybody received a copy of their personal data from a similar request ?

    perhaps is Szymon Matylla on holiday; perhaps is Fibaro reorganising due to 'fusion' with Nice :-)

    I finally got a response to my request for my personal data from the fibaro DPO.

    and this is what I received ...

    I have been a user of the fibaro solution (HC2, Fibaro Cloud and forum) for over 3 years.

    My HC2 solution has over 90 physical z-wave device and I also have 14 sonos zones (I mention sonos as it is referenced in what I received below)

     

    There is no mention of any fibaro ID/home.fibaro.com information or the number of times I log in remotely 

    There is no information on the various support call's I've had

    There is also no mention of the information that the HC2 sends to fibaro cloud or google 

    There is also no mention of the information that is held from my use of the fibaro forum

    ..and I'm sure there is more

     

    I am disappointed in what I received especially since it took 2 months

    I don't know a lot bout GPDR and what to expect and would welcome other users thoughts on what they got or would expect to get
