How to use IN1 and IN2 for Brightness and Rainbow?

The Grue

Question

Hello,

I'm using a RGBW controller with my FHEM system. I have two momentary switches attached to the controller: one to IN1 and one to IN2. Currently, they work in default mode, i.e. IN1 controlls RED, IN2 controlls GREEN.

As I understand the manual, I can set IN1 to controll the overall brightness and IN2 to rainbow mode by setting parameter 14 to 0x2311 or 8977 decimal. I've tried that, but the controller still behaves as before...

I tried some other settings, but didn't succeed :( Could you please help me with the parameters? A complete set of the necessary changes would be great :D

Update: when playing around a little more, I was 50% successful: When setting parameter 14 to 0x3333 (13107 decimal), I can use rainbow mode: IN1 turns the color wheel in one direction, IN2 in the other direction. I could live with that, but I'd rather habe IN2 for brightness...

Thank you,

/me
