Switching power input ?

mstormi

Question

I'd like to use the switch input on a FGS-223 as a binary sensor input.

As the contacts can be touched accidentialy, it would be too dangerous to send 230VAC so I want to use a transformer to get the current down to something harmless.

How many volts AC do I need to make the FGS-223 S1 input work ?

Its a 110v/240v device with the switching to the s1 at the same voltage.

maybe better to look at a 12v/24v

Fibaro UBS for that purpose .

  • I know the FGS-223 runs at 230VAC, but it's located right where it needs to be, and I don't want to spend another device,

S1 input will receive whatever current you connect the remote end to (such as say 12VDC or 8VAC of a doorbell) thus my question:

how many volts do I need to apply to make it recognize switch(sensor) state changes?

I told you it needs 240V.

Zastosuj na wyjściu s1 dodatkowy przekaźnik z oddzielnym wyjściem na stykach i po awarii.

Apply on the previous output s1 the remaining relay from the outside. On contacts and after trouble.

Admin edit: Since this might be a bit confusing, here's what I think the author had in mind:

Add another relay switch with a separate contact output to the s1 and you should be ok.
