Alarm status with Universal Binary Sensor

Hello,

I would  like to check if my alarm system (Inim 1050) is on or off. I have a HC2. My idea is to use the universal binary sensor wich I would connect to the alarm system. The alarm system has an open connector OC1. My question is if it is right how i connect the UBS with my allarm system and if it will work.

From what I found from the INIM 1050 manual your schematic is correct:

 

- 13 is 12V+ out

- 14 is open collector output 1

- 17 is mass / ground

 

So, yes your drawing is correct.

 

You might need to change parameter 3 in the UBS to value 0 or perhaps 3 (the difference is unclear)

 

The default from parameter 3 is 1, which means the UBS thinks the INPUT 1 is normally closed (connected to ground). This is probably not the case on the INIM1050. The OC1 will be connected to ground when the system is armed or an alarm is present (whatever you set OC1 to do). So the input 1 should be normally open, thus parameter 3 should be changed to 0 or 3. My guess is 0
