was going to buy Fibaro RGBW controller...

Question

Hi all - i am new to this forum and fibaro. I am going to buy 3-4 fibaro rgbw controllers and i have few questions:

1. I am going to connect RGBW led ribbon and all that i need from the start - just turn light on and off from application and wireless button and set up color in application. In this case i should not use analog inputs IN1-IN4 at all and left them disconnected?

2. In one room i am going to install RGBW led ribbon with 8.75m length and 14.4 w/m consumption - about 126w total (144w max from manual). Is it ok? Or i must change something.

Thank you in advance for your answers and sorry for lame questions and bad english :)

As you are getting close to max load you could use 24v LED stripping which will reduce your watt load

Actually it won't change anything in watt load... only in amper load. However, the only limits in RGBW controller are ampers, not watts, so 24V is a very good idea. You will be able to connect even longer strips to the same controller if you will need in future.

1. Correct you will not use these inputs

2. No issues with this as it is under max load. As you are getting close to max load you could use 24v LED stripping which will reduce your watt load and give you more overhead in case you decide you want a longer run of stripping
