Electrical isolation

gfoden@bit.org.uk

Question

I need to control an air conditioning system which presents 2 zero (well very low) voltage connectors from a logic board that I short to tell it to switch on. I can't control the main power supply because of the high load and the need for the compressor heaters to be on (in the winter) at least 5 hours before use.

The single Fibaro switches have two Live feeds. In this case is one of the feeds only connected to the switching function (Presumably a micro relay) so that this live and terminal Q could be used to short (start) the Air con?

Are they electrically isolated from the mains supply on the other live terminal?

@[email protected], can you use contactor (or dumb relay) to isolate 230V from low voltage?

We use Door opener as an example, but it could be used for almost everything.

You can use relay with dry contact, like FGS-212 or any other brand

For example here a link of
