HC-and a benext P1 dongle for energy measuring not updating

RobVeenis

Question

Dear Members,

I recently bought a benext P1 dongle and conncted it to my intelligent electricity and gas meter.

Both Landis & Gyr models E350 SMR 5.0 and G350 SMR 5.0

When I include the P1 dongle in the HC-2 I get an overview of the current powerconsumpyion an the current total usage of gas and electricity.

However this figures never update.

When I exclude and include the dongle or when I make a hard reset the same situation.

New figures that are up to date and after no updates anymoer.

Anyone a suggestion how to get constant updates from the dongle?

Hi,

Have you solve this problem?

Hi I have the problem also, the P1 dongle is recogniced correctly by the HC2 using version 4.510.

The dongle version is 0.21.

I found the possible solution below, I have a Kaifa  meter and this type doesn't need an extra power supply.

The HC2 need the values in decimal so 480 Hex is 1152 decimal, the serial port speed in hundreds of bits (115200).

I have a P1 dongle at version 0.21 and it still would not update. It turned out that 'group 1' wasn't associated to the HC2. I had received some errors when I paired it (application rejected request). I manually set "group 1" to 1 (the HC2) and then it started to updated.

How to you mean you add group 1 to 1?

Can you make a screenshot?

Normal associations in advanced settings of the device. Device 1 is the HC2. Group 1 is defined by the device. Normally I think it should be there by default, but in my case it was not.

check the endpoint, of it still pointing to hc2, see post pilux

(i guess you have a p1 dongle without the powersupply?

@Krystian yours are showing not configured, try soft reconfiguration

is the endpoint correct?

it is better to use a p1 usb dongle, only it wil not work with hc2, with usb you get more information.

see screenshots, from benext en usb dongle

Not configure i get every time with new software 4.550, if i use old version 4.170 it is working.

if i use reconfigure it will configure for 2 minutes and display again not configure. Endpoint is the same as pilix have.

i use this with hc2 so usb will not work
