Virtual Device Tcp Connection to C Socket

Brendanlim

Question

Hi there,

I am facing such a problem as I can't send anything by using TCP connection from Fibaro to my Raspberry Pi using a C language's Socket Server.

For more information, I am leaving my C's Socket Server as below. I can use telnet from my computer to send string to Raspberry Pi but I can't receive any string send from the Fibaro. I am using Raspberry's gpio to send Infrared code.

Please login or register to see this code.

The Client Server's Code in Fibaro HC2 as below, and I am using a button to send String.

Please login or register to see this code.

Thanks

There are 2 ways to send data over TCP in a VD

(a) If you want to use the "send string" feature... Fill in IP Address and Port at the top of your virtual device. Do not use Lua code. If you click that button, the HC sends your string.

(b) Switch that button to "Lua" mode , then write something on that socket (settings at the top of your VD are not used):

The C code is OK (for testing purposes...).
