Hi Team,

As of recent updates to iOS 12, the motion sensor is not responding!

Tried a power cycle, it temporary works but after a minute it loses connection.

Tried removing the device and reattaching to Home, it works temporarily but it loses connection after a minute or so.

Any hints on how to debug the device in a more advanced way?

Regards,

Aurel

    Hi @gallaxya!

Since it's another only iOS 12.0 issue, I believe your issues were resolved by iOS 12.1?

FIBARO Motion Sensor firmware hasn't been touched during this time so it might have been caused by some changes in HomeKit.

Moreover, it's a Bluetooth device so make sure you're not on the edge of its range, as their range is much shorter than with the WiFi devices.

    Unfortunately it hasn't been fixed.

I will return to warranty and see how it goes.

    Status update!

    The device is not broken.

Had an epiphany and did a change in my networking in my house.

It seems the device itself is sensitive to IPv6 configurations.

It is either that or Apple TV 4K has an issue in communicating further when it has this setting enabled.

My ISP provides IPv6 configuration and by disabling it, the sensor began communicating as before!

Could someone look into this for research purposes?

    Regards,

    Aurel
