Flood sensor works only off and on.

My flood sensor works at times, but generally is unresponsive 50% of time.  My hub is an Apple TV and all other HomeKit devices stay connected.  Very frustrating for a new device.  If anyone has any advice, please let me know.  Thank you.

Hi @kellyNYC!

Is the issue still there?

Are you sure the Flood Sensor at your place is not at the edge of the range? It communicates with Apple TV via Bluetooth so it has a much smaller range than WiFi devices.

Have you updated your devices to the latest iOS 12 versions, i.e. iOS 12.1?

Is the issue still so noticeable on iOS 12.1, which in fact came after you had reported your issues?

  • Yes, still a problem.  I live in a NYC apartment, so range should not be an issue.  Nothing changed after upgrading to iOS 12.1.  I'm returning this unit and will ask for a replacement.  Perhaps I got a lemon.
