Sunset/Sunrise calculations

It's easy to get today's sunset/sunrise from the HC2, but a bit more difficult to calculate tomorrow's sunset/sunrise, dawn, dusk and altitude etc.

Here is a conversion of code from Jarmo Lammi that I recently needed in a project...

Running prints this

  • So, why didn't  you post your code earlier so I didn't have do unnecessary coding :-)

This seems to be based on the United States Naval Observatory code that is floating around.

Seems to calculate the same values as the HC2.

It's interesting how sunset/sunrise varies depending on sources - looking at various websites gives values +/- a minute or two... guess they all use different algorithms.

    Thanks/J
