I have litle home automaation problem in area of making food!

I have on electritical smoker box that need an temperature control. I am thinking about use wallplug for that but I am missing the smoker temperature in oder to build my logic. Meat temperature is also needed as an indicator of when the meat is ready.

can I Connect meat thermometers like above to binarysensor in order to get measurements from my smoker ?  Would like to get measuremets of a). Internal  temperature of the smoker and b).

How is that related to Fibaro?

If you use a smoke detector from Fibaro you cannot connect it to the temperature sensor you have linked to.

  • I want to use  binary sensor to measure the temperature , this has nothing to do with the smoke detector.

Look at this so you get the idea.

@Markoe, if you could get a door window sensor (Old version, not the new one) (

) then you could attach an external temperature sensor, which is probably the same as those in a meat probe, you'll need to check this of course. Perhaps that sounds a little crazy, but the old door window sensors have a connector that allows you to attach a temperature sensor.

    Hope that helps.
