Question

Hi

Sorry for a rookie question

I have 2 smoke sensors FGSD-002 and will add moore in the future.

What do i need to kontroll and pair them, I want them all to sound if one goes off.

What app do I use, I have iPhone and PC at home, when do I need a gateway?

You definitely need a gateway to do that. However, I would not trust the Fibaro Homecenter to do it as it is just too unstable. Especially in the latest firmware version.

  • Thanx Thomas

I will look around then, I dont need anything real fancy but It would have been nice to get rid of all the timers and to could have separate time schedules for them in a feature.

    hello @Edwe,

I don't think you can pair them. You also can't trigger the alarm sound manually.

I had a bad expierience with the smoke sensor as many others. A lot of false alarms...

Regarding the homecenter 2 I can't to Thomasn, for me it's rock stable, also with the latest firmware. I use mine since 3 years without any big issues.

Hi, as kroeatschge wrote, pairing isn´t possible with this version. They are battery driven and normal in sleep mode.

You may use an external siren and start the siren if a smoke sensor will send an alarm. But, as these smoke sensors are very sensitive

this is no fun if you receive 4 -10 false alarm at night ;-)

  • hmm, dosnt sounds good at all, sounds like I've bought the wrong one.

Of course you want the sensors to mesh and us to hear the allarm if there is a fire, even if your nor Close to them.

Yes Ive read a lot of false allarm to, dosnt sounds good that either :(

I'd did a research and thought I've bought the topp notch

I would go around the Fibaro smoke sensor in a big circle, and most definitely not trust my life in them.

:/ Why dont they fix em or take them off the market?

They seems very dangerous and their not cheap
