Doorbell - Universal sensor or Door/Window sensor?

Hi Guys,

 

Please excuse if this was already answered somewhere else, I didn't find it.

Based on the schematic below, what sensor would you use to receive notification when someone ring the doorbell? 

 

Universal sensor or Door/Window sensor?

And how would you wire it?

I’ve used a normal wall plug. It measures the ampere and when someone pushes the doorbell, it uses more amp and sends a push message and makes pictures with the separate camera.

Thanks @SmartHomeEddy for you answer, however i don't think adding a wall plug would help in my situation...

My doorbell (chime) is mounted on the wall and the push button is located by the entrance door. The 110V to 12V convertor is located behind the wall near the chiming mechanism.

I'm looking to keep everything hidden.

Which of the 2 would work best?

 => Universal sensor (FGBS) or Door/Window sensor (FGK)?

A Fibaro switch does the same as the wall plug. Power will be always on and an change in power usage will trigger a script. But maybe a smart implant can do the job also, but I don’t have experience with the Fibaro smart implant.

I put a mini relay in parallel with the chime unit. When button is pressed chime occurs and the relay is energised. The relay contacts close and the door window sensor sends a signal back to the controller. 

 

The door window sensor is / was ideal due to the in built battery.

Hello,

I've attached a rough diagram of how it was wired.  The relay needed to match to how the chime unit is powered.  Mine was an AC power supply, so I needed to ensure I bought an AC relay. This makes a difference as if you use a DC relay then you get the relay contacts clicking furiously when you energise the relay.

 

The other difficulty you may now have is that Fibaro has changed the door window sensor, they no longer have the external contacts that you can connect the relay switch contacts to.

The door window sensor was perfect as I didn't need an additional power supply.

But you can use the transformer for powering the universal sensor. And use this for the doorbell off think i the wrong way?
