If I hook up just 12V power to P and GND, can I add it to my Zwave network?

Question

Hi all,

I'm a newbie at electronics and struggling trying to wire the Fibaro Universal Sensor to my GuardAlert driveway alarm.

I want to firstly ensure that the Fibaro sensor is sound, and will pair to Samsung SmartThings.

So I know it won't actually "sense" or do anything, but technically, if I just connect P and GND to + and - respectively on a 12V power source, should it pair with my SmartThings?

Thanks in advance, and Happy Friday!

Yes, if it is connected to power, you should be able to pair it, if you are going to use temperature sensors together with

it, these must be connected before you pair it with your controller.
